Patrick DeGennaro is an award winning singer/songwriter currently residing in New York City. He has been named “Outstanding Male Vocalist” by The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs” (MAC Award) and Back Stage Magazine (Bistro Award). He is also a Nightlife Award finalist in the same category.

Praised as “one of the best pop voices in town” (Backstage), DeGennaro has garnered much critical acclaim in New York City for over a decade. Whether at venues as various as Birdland, Joe's Pub, The Bottom Line, Symphony Space, B.B. Kings or Town Hall, In Theater recommends "...don't miss him live- it's a thrilling experience."

The New York Post calls DeGennaro “sexy, smoldering and passionate,” and the Cabaret Hotline raves “Without a doubt, Mr. DeGennaro is the most exciting, brilliant, amazing, delightful and talented male vocalist on the music scene today.”

Often compared to Billy Joel and Elton John for his classic pop rock style and piano ‘chops’, DeGennaro's vocals are in a league of their own. From hard-edged pop-rock, gospel and funk to silky smooth R&B, and romantic ballads, DeGennaro's concerts are always a satisfying mix of musical styles.

Born in the Bronx and raised on the north shore of Long Island, DeGennaro started playing the piano at age seven and was singing along immediately. His classical training gave him the improvisational skills to play the pop rock songs of his early heroes Billy Joel, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. He made his first local television appearance as a vocalist at age 14 after winning a talent competition and made his theatrical debut in the Rock Musical Godspell (Lamar) at age 16. Singled out by critics for that performance he continued with acting roles in addition to his solo singing career. Other roles include Pippin (Pippin), Johnny (Lovers And Other Strangers), Allan (Cheaters) , El Gallo (The Fantastiks), Don Lockwood (Singing In The Rain), Dick (Dames At Sea) , Satan (Satan’s School For Girls) and Jesus (Godspell). He also appeared in the four person comedy revue Kooky Tunes, (cast album on Original Cast Records).

DeGennaro has also served as musical director for over 30 regional theater productions including A Little Night Music, Guys and Dolls, Man Of La Mancha, Funny Girl, Peter Pan, Fiddler On The Roof and Chicago.

Most recently DeGennaro has been bringing his own rock and roll originals to the world famous BIRDLAND.
